Mpetshi Perricard Records the Fastest Serve in Wimbledon History

Mpetshi Perricard will have to wait a little longer to learn the outcome of his match. Facing Fritz in the first round, the Frenchman saw the match suspended at two sets apiece (7-6, 7-6, 4-6, 6-7) due to the curfew (11 p.m.) imposed by the organizers. The two players will resume play on Tuesday in the second rotation on Court No. 1.

In the meantime, the young French player can boast of breaking one of the most legendary records in the tournament's history. Known for his powerful serve, Mpetshi Perricard shattered the speedometer with a serve clocked at 246 km/h (153 mph).

However, the X account Jeu, Sets et Maths notes that Ben Shelton achieved the same feat last year, but this figure did not appear in the tournament's official statistics.
