Musetti withdraws from Barcelona tournament

Injured in his right thigh during the final of the Monte-Carlo Masters 1000 against Carlos Alcaraz, Lorenzo Musetti has decided not to participate in the ATP 500 in Barcelona, which starts tomorrow.
The Italian, who will be ranked world No. 11 tomorrow, played five of his six matches this week in three sets. It was therefore logical for his withdrawal to be confirmed just hours after the final, allowing him to take a period of rest.
He is expected to return to competition at the Madrid tournament, which begins on April 23.
His withdrawal will allow a lucky loser to enter the main draw in Barcelona.
