New Challenger Final for Cilic

Marin Cilic continues his journey on the Challenger circuit, having been in Spain for nearly a month. The former world No. 3 won the Girona tournament two weeks ago and is now just one win away from claiming the title in Madrid.

Cilic has indeed qualified for the Madrid tournament final after saving a match point against Valentin Royer (3-6, 7-5, 7-6). Ranked 117th in the ATP rankings this week, he will return to the Top 100 if he triumphs tomorrow against Kamil Majchrzak.

A return to the world’s top 100 could secure his spot in the main draw at Roland-Garros, as the cut for the season’s second Grand Slam will be confirmed on Monday.
