"Now that this part of the season is over, I’ve decided to make a change," Paolini announces split with one of her coaches

Seeded No. 4 at Wimbledon, Paolini was eliminated in the second round by Rakhimova (4-6, 6-4, 6-4). A finalist last year, this marks a major disappointment for the Italian, who has announced a change in her coaching team. Indeed, after just four months, the player has ended her collaboration with Spaniard Marc Lopez, posting a message on her Instagram account:
"I want to say thank you to Marc for the help and support he has given me this season. We achieved incredible results together, especially in Rome and Paris, and I will always remember those moments. I appreciated all his work and the energy he put in every day.
Now that this part of the season is over, I’ve decided to make a change. I’ve learned a lot and made great progress. Now, I want to take time to think about the next step forward. Thank you again, Marc. I wish you all the best for the future."
For context, Marc Lopez is a former professional player, best known for his doubles career, who later joined the team of his compatriot Rafael Nadal (2021). Since April 11, he had been coaching the 29-year-old player.
