Paolini: "The 15 best days of my life. I'm so proud of myself."
Jasmine Paolini quickly shook off the disappointment of her defeat by Iga Swiatek in the French Open final on Saturday. By the time the trophy presentation speech was given, the Italian had the necessary distance to be delighted and proud of her magnificent performance on the Paris clay court.
She found the right words to say it to the Court Philippe Chatrier crowd, with all the simplicity and joy that characterize her.
Jasmine Paolini: "Hello everyone. Thank you so much for coming. I really enjoyed playing on this court today.
It's been the best 15 days of my life. And it's going to continue, because tomorrow (Sunday) I'm in the doubles final (alongside Sara Errani). It's been a very intense 15 days. I'm very happy and proud of myself. Today (against Swiatek) was tough, but as I said, I'm really proud of myself.
Thank you so much Paris! (in French) You encouraged me and it was incredible."
