Parry Defeats Jones and Qualifies for Wimbledon Main Draw
Diane Parry was playing her Wimbledon qualifying match this Thursday against the young Emerson Jones, aged 16.
The Frenchwoman started the match strongly, breaking serve in the third game and faced no trouble on her own serve throughout the entire first set.
The second set was slightly tighter as Parry had to save a break point, but she managed to break her opponent twice, just like in the first set.
She ultimately won 6-2, 6-2 in 1 hour and 12 minutes, securing her spot in the Wimbledon main draw.
