Paul and Dimitrov Withdraw from Toronto in Turn
The wave of absences for the Toronto Masters 1000 continues. Now, Tommy Paul and Grigor Dimitrov have also withdrawn.
The American had already pulled out of this week’s ATP 500 in Washington and is extending his absence.
As for the Bulgarian, his withdrawal was expected as he is dealing with a right pectoral injury, sustained at Wimbledon during his match against Jannik Sinner.
These withdrawals benefit Juncheng Shang and Borna Coric, though the Chinese player’s participation remains uncertain given his absence from the courts since the 2025 Australian Open.
