Pouille Extends His Coaching Experience and Will Accompany Rinderknech at the US Open
Lucas Pouille, sidelined with an Achilles tendon injury since February, has recently taken the opportunity to venture into coaching.
While the Northern Frenchman, a former world No. 10, hopes to return to the tour next year, he joined Arthur Rinderknech’s team after Roland-Garros. The partnership has already borne fruit, as the world No. 65 reached the quarterfinals at Queen’s and made it to the third round at Wimbledon, defeating Alexander Zverev along the way.
This Wednesday, *L’Équipe* reports that the two will extend their collaboration, working together during the American tour and at the US Open. Meanwhile, Rinderknech, competing on clay in Kitzbühel, has advanced to the quarterfinals after defeating Norbert Gombos (6-7, 6-4, 6-4).
