A nice favor done by the Beijing tournament. Jannik Sinner and Learner Tien, finalists of this 2025 edition, had to head straight to Shanghai to prepare for the Masters 1000 that started on Wednesday.

A tight schedule that convinced the organizers to offer them a private jet flight so they could arrive more quickly at the next tournament's site.

Lego sets were also given to Sinner, to congratulate him on his victory and also to encourage him to pursue his passion, as he had admitted before the US Open to being a fan of the Danish bricks.

The Italian, who benefits from a bye, will make his debut in Shanghai against Daniel Altmaier, while Tien will benefit from an extra day of rest granted by the organization and will play his first round on Friday against Miomir Kecmanovic.

Since February 2022 and the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, Ukrainian sport has been heavily affected by human, structural and economic losses. Tennis has, of course, not been spared. While Ukrainian athletes have had to rethink their entire organization, an entire country, behind the scenes, has had to adapt and change its training conditions. This extends all the way to the highest level, where professional players have spoken out, trying as best they can to help their nation.

A tennis player's income depends solely on his sporting results. In the event of injury, the daily life of those far from the Top 100 can become extremely complicated.

As we move to the end of this month and also closing out the year I am wishing all of those following me a Merry Christmas and a Happy/Healthy New Year.

Let's make that wish for all 2000 plus players hoping for 5 wins each day. Hoping ŵhen we open the results page to see all green, and no red. And especially NO CANCELED matches.

From me and my rotti JAZ, I bid you all good night, and see you in...

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.

The finals are here, and we scramble for the best finish. I've been chasing "King" all year and I was able to shrink the spread a little. Skelp is also closing the gap.

Seasons best to all the regulars in our league.

Will you all be back in the new year.?

Steffi Graf completed a Golden Slam (not just a career Grand Slam) when she was 19. She is the only person to accomplish that, winning the four majors plus Olympic gold the same calendar year.
