Rinderknech Out in First Round at Toronto Masters 1000
Arthur Rinderknech had very little time to adjust from the clay courts of Kitzbühel to the hard courts of Toronto.
After reaching the semifinals in Austria last Friday, the world No. 64 had just three days to travel to Canada and adapt to the surface.
Unfortunately for the Frenchman, he was eliminated in the first round by local wildcard Alexis Galarneau, ranked 193rd in the world.
He fell 7-6, 6-3 on the center court in Toronto. Rinderknech will now look to bounce back in Cincinnati.
