Rublev beaten and powerless: "There's nothing to say".
Andrey Rublev hasn't exactly shone in Turin this week.
Competing in the Masters, the tournament which brings together the eight best players of the previous season, the Russian has just suffered his second consecutive defeat.
Already beaten by Alexander Zverev in his opening match (6-4, 6-4), he lost again to Carlos Alcaraz on Wednesday (6-3, 7-6).
Questioned in the press conference following his defeat by the Spaniard, Rublev didn't seem really disappointed, sounding almost fatalistic as he explained that Alcaraz was simply too strong: "Of course, the more we play together, the more we know each other. But, yes, everything that happened in the past is in the past.
We're trying to prepare for what's going to happen. Today (Wednesday), I don't know, he played very well. There's nothing to say. When he plays like that, there's only one or two players who can stop him, yes (smile)."
