Ruud, Defending Champion, Wins His First Match in Barcelona
Casper Ruud defeated Daniel Galan (6-4, 6-3) in his opening match at the ATP 500 in Barcelona. The Norwegian, who triumphed last year, hopes to retain the trophy this season.
During the match, the world No. 15 fired 25 winners and won 79% of points on his first serve. The defending champion was rarely troubled and did not face a single break point.
