Sabalenka: "The scores of my matches make them seem easy, but they weren't"

Aryna Sabalenka was present at a press conference in Indian Wells after her victory against Sonay Kartal 6-1, 6-2, a score she had already achieved in the previous round.

When asked about the ease of her matches in Indian Wells so far, she wanted to set the record straight: "I'm not the only one who has only had straight-set matches.

You know, that's tennis. Especially women's tennis, anything can happen.

The scores of my matches make them seem easy, but they weren't.

I think I've spent enough time on the court, and I feel ready for my quarterfinal."

Sabalenka will face Liudmila Samsonova this Thursday for a spot in the semifinals.
