Sinner talks about his progress: The results didn't come overnight.

After an excellent year in 2024, Jannik Sinner has established himself as a formidable player at the top of the ATP rankings.

With eight titles won this season, including two Grand Slam titles, the 23-year-old Italian was the boss of the circuit with just six defeats over the past year.

Tennis Magazine spoke to Sinner about his rise to world number 1.

"The results didn't come overnight. I've worked hard over the last few years to be effective in the important moments.

All the results I've achieved this year are the fruit of several years' hard work.

Three years ago, in the big tournaments, I regularly managed to reach the last 16 and then the quarters.

The following year, I was alternating between the quarters and semi-finals. Last year, I reached a few finals, and I was really close.

This year, I've won a lot of Grand Slam and Masters 1000 finals. It's fair to say that things are going well.

But dreams don't stop when you're 23. There are still two Majors I haven't managed to win..." says Sinner.

As much as I love watching Alcaraz at his best, I'd love to see Alex taking this, he's such a tryer, and getting married and his humour and humility...

Favoritism?

Last year: Sinner seed 1, the organizers schedule Alcaraz on day 1, Sinner on day 2.

This year: Alcaraz seed 1, the organizers schedule Alcaraz on day 1, Sinner on day 3.

That means: 7 matches in 15 days for Alcaraz, 7 in 13 days for Sinner; and no rest day for Sinner between quarter and semis, 1 full day rest for Alcaraz.

Also, on the first very hot day, the organizers schedule Sinner...

TT- Your pop up ads almost make the app unusable.

FYI- Ive never bought a single item from any of them after years of using your app, a goal that started as short term but has developed into long term.
