Stosur sees Sabalenka-Gauff as the perfect Australian Open final

Samantha Stosur, former world No.1 doubles player and No.4 singles player, spoke to The Tennis Podcast about the Australian Open.

For her, a clash between Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff would be the perfect final.

She says: "Maybe the final between Sabalenka and Gauff wouldn't be a surprise, but I'm really enjoying watching their opposition at the moment.

Gauff currently leads 5-4 in their meetings.

They've had some very close matches, some huge matches, including the US Open final and here at the Australian Open in the semi-finals last year.

It can go either way at any time of the day.

I think it's exciting to see two of the best players in the world come up against each other again and again and play their best tennis.

It's probably the women's rivalry of the moment, so I think we'd love to see that in Melbourne.
