Swiatek, Raducanu, Boisson's debut at Wimbledon: Today's grass-court schedule
With one week to go until the London Grand Slam, many players qualified for the main draw will play their final grass-court warm-up tournament. For others, they will begin their journey to secure a spot in the legendary Wimbledon tournament. Here are today's matches to follow:
In Eastbourne (UK), Krejcikova will face Dart to open the Centre Court schedule (12 p.m.), followed by local favorite Raducanu taking on American Li. Cobolli, the No. 5 seed, will play Fearnley to close the day. On other courts, Bublik will meet Comesana on Court No. 2, and qualifier Gracheva will battle Osorio on Court No. 5.
In Bad Homburg (Germany), spectators will witness Paolini’s debut against Fernandez (11:30 a.m.), Pegula vs. Siniakova, as well as Swiatek facing Azarenka. Wildcard Osaka will play her second-round match against No. 5 seed Navarro.
Finally, several French players will try their luck in the Wimbledon qualifiers. Rising star Boisson will start against Canadian Branstine (No. 197). Jeanjean (No. 95), the No. 5 seed, must defeat Slovenia’s Erjavec (No. 171), Paquet (No. 154) will face 19-year-old Swiss player Naef (No. 178), and Parry (No. 113), the No. 17 seed, will take on Oliynykova (No. 196) in the first round.
