Similar to the men's draw, the WTA 1000 in Cincinnati will see the top seeds enter the fray this Saturday, marking the start of the second round in the women's tournament. Plenty of big names will take to the courts in the coming hours, aiming to advance to the third round.

Starting at 5:00 PM French time, Iga Swiatek will face Anastasia Potapova. Later, in the evening session, Aryna Sabalenka, playing her first tournament since Wimbledon, will take on Marketa Vondrousova.

Three women’s matches will be held on the Grandstand. From 7:00 PM French time, Madison Keys will challenge Eva Lys, followed by Elena Rybakina’s match. The Kazakh, who reached the semifinals of the WTA 1000 in Montreal recently, will make her debut against Mexican player Renata Zarazua. Wrapping up the night session from Saturday to Sunday, Amanda Anisimova will face France’s Léolia Jeanjean.

On Court 3, two matches will take place in the afternoon. First, Jessica Bouzas Maneiro will play against Leylah Fernandez, followed by the clash between Taylor Townsend and Liudmila Samsonova.

Two high-profile matches will also be held on the Champions Court: Olga Danilovic vs. Emma Raducanu and Anna Kalinskaya vs. Peyton Stearns. Beatriz Haddad Maia and Elise Mertens will be on Court 10, facing Maya Joint and Clervie Ngounoue, respectively.

Early in the day in Ohio, Marta Kostyuk, who appears to have recovered from her right wrist injury sustained in Canada, will take on Tatjana Maria. Later in the evening, Diana Shnaider will also begin her campaign against Yuan Yue, a lucky loser after Victoria Mboko’s withdrawal—Mboko recently claimed a title in Montreal.

On Court 7, Ekaterina Alexandrova will play against Lulu Sun. Finally, on Court 9, two more matches will close out the day: Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova vs. Aoi Ito and Magdalena Frech vs. Sorana Cirstea.

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.

The finals are here, and we scramble for the best finish. I've been chasing "King" all year and I was able to shrink the spread a little. Skelp is also closing the gap.

Seasons best to all the regulars in our league.

Will you all be back in the new year.?

Steffi Graf completed a Golden Slam (not just a career Grand Slam) when she was 19. She is the only person to accomplish that, winning the four majors plus Olympic gold the same calendar year.

What a finish this is.. I believe King has used his boost for today. Skelp is closing strong. Two wins and he claims 1st if I lose my last prediction.

Gonna be difficult with only 2 pointers to choose from.
