Tabilo Top Seed, Royer-Droguet in French Clash: Shanghai Qualifiers Promise Fireworks

The qualifying draw for the penultimate Masters 1000 of the year was revealed on Sunday with enticing matchups.
While the Tokyo and Beijing tournaments are still ongoing, the Shanghai Masters 1000 qualifiers will begin tomorrow.
Alejandro Tabilo, world No. 72 and recent champion of the Chengdu tournament, will be the top seed in this draw. He will face Chinese wildcard Cui Jie, ranked 308th in the world.
Following his final in Hangzhou, Valentin Royer will look to ride his momentum against compatriot Titouan Droguet. Three other French players will attempt to secure their spot in the main draw: Harold Mayot will play against Sun Fajing, Ugo Blanchet will face Rigele Te, and Kyrian Jacquet will take on Liam Draxl.
Noteworthy is the clash between former top-20 players Bernard Tomic and Nikoloz Basilashvili.
The two will meet for the third consecutive week, following a second-round encounter in the Chengdu qualifiers (Basilashvili won 2-6, 7-5, 7-5) and a second-round match at the Jingshan Challenger (Tomic won 6-1, 6-0).
