TennisTemple celebrates its 19th birthday, and it's just getting started!
TennisTemple turns 19 this Friday, June 21, 2024. It was in the middle of a Tuesday afternoon, on another June 21, in 2005, that TT was born. Launched by two young tennis enthusiasts who had no idea where it was all going to lead. Two weeks after Rafael Nadal's first French Open title, two weeks before Roger Federer's third Wimbledon title. The beginning of what would later be known as the Big 3 era.
And the beginnings of what TennisTemple is today. Back then, it was just a rough draft, an embryo, a bit of text, match scores and tournament tables on a static page. But the adventure had just begun. 19 seasons have passed and the adventure has continued. TT has become much more dynamic, with live scores, live rankings, live commentary, videos, prediction contests, apps, social networks, statistics, analysis tools... and all the discussion forums that today keep alive the huge community of tennis fans that has grown up over the years.
An adventure on a human scale too, slowed down for a few years by the ups and downs in the lives of our two enthusiasts. But life is all about change, cycles and changes in cycles, and so is TennisTemple's, and the momentum has been completely revived in recent seasons. Everything is beginning to take shape and to fit together better and better. There are plenty of projects in the pipeline, and TT has rediscovered its 'DNA' as a creator of novelty. If you haven't already, you'll soon notice. The rest of the adventure looks bright and exciting. All we have to do now is share it with you.
Because if all this is possible, it's also thanks to you. You who have been with us from the start, or joined us along the way. You who have supported us in your own way over the years, and you who are just discovering TennisTemple but can't live without it. Many thanks to you all! See you in the days, weeks, months and years to come. At 19 years of age, TT is still a big teenager, and the adventure is just beginning!
