Tim Mayotte castigates the choice made by several American players: "They will regret it for the rest of their lives."
In view of the Olympic calendar, a good number of American players seem set to skip the Paris Olympics, scheduled for this summer. Forced to return to clay after leaving it for the first time if they want to take part in the Olympic event, some players prefer not to make the trip to Paris.
This is particularly true of the world's best American players, as Korda, Shelton, Tiafoe and Keys have already announced their withdrawal. On this subject, Tim Mayotte, ex-7th player in the world, gave his opinion.
And, to say the least, he doesn't like the choice: "Unless they win Wimbledon and/or the US Open, they'll regret it for the rest of their lives (Twitter)."
