Trailing 5-0, 40-15, he ends up winning the match: the incredible scenario at the Bonn Challenger

During the first round of the Bonn Challenger (outdoor clay) which took place on Tuesday, August 5th, an incredible scenario unfolded in the match between Raphaël Collignon (ranked 90th) and Peter Fajta (ranked 518th).
Despite leading 5-0, 40-15 in the first set, Fajta eventually lost in two sets to the Belgian (7-5, 6-4). Coming through the qualifiers, the Hungarian completely unraveled, unable to close out the first set. He later showed strong resilience to get back into the match, but it wasn't enough.
On his part, Collignon (23 years old) is also having a tough year as he has only won one match on the main tour (against Fognini in Marrakech). Having qualified for the second round in Germany, he will face Swiss player Kym (22 years old, ranked 191st).
Though not excelling on the main tour, the Belgian has still won the Challengers in Pau and Monza in 2025.
