Tsitsipas will participate in the ATP 500 tournament in Hamburg in May
The European clay court tour will begin in April after the Sunshine Double, and several prestigious tournaments will serve as preparation for Roland-Garros, the second Grand Slam of the season after Melbourne.
Thus, the Masters 1000 events in Monte-Carlo, Madrid, and Rome will, as usual, be the most prestigious tournaments before the French Open. A new addition to the 2025 calendar is the ATP 500 tournament in Hamburg, which will take place from May 17 to 24, instead of July as was traditionally the case.
After Andrey Rublev, Holger Rune, Gaël Monfils, and Jan-Lennard Struff, another player has been confirmed by the German tournament organizers, and it is Stefanos Tsitsipas.
A finalist in 2020, where he lost to Rublev, the Greek will be one of the headline acts of the tournament. To recall, last year, Arthur Fils won the title against Alexander Zverev in a tense match finish between the Frenchman and the local crowd.
The Hamburg Open is expected to quickly announce other players who will be present for the 2025 edition: "Other world-class players will be announced by the organizer Tennium in the coming weeks.
The 2025 Hamburg Open is taking shape and promises thrilling matches and exciting competitions at the Rothenbaum!" can be read on the tournament's website.
