United Cup: defending champions Germany and USA headline Matchday 3

The United Cup has been in full swing since yesterday, and the third day of competition is set to offer some exciting encounters, with several nations bringing their star players with them.

In Sydney (from 10.30 a.m. local time, 00.30 a.m. in France), the Czech Republic will kick off the day against Norway in Group B.

Karolina Muchova will play Malene Helgo, Tomas Machac will then take on Casper Ruud and the doubles will see the Muchova / Machac pairing against Eikeri / Ruud.

In the evening (5.30pm local time, 7.30am in France), Italy take on Switzerland in Group D. Flavio Cobolli will set the ball rolling for the Italians against Dominic Stricker, before world No. 4 Jasmine Paolini takes on Belinda Bencic.

The Italian doubles team, made up of specialists Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori, will take on the Bencic / Stricker pair.

In Perth (from 10 a.m. local time, 3 a.m. in France), defending champions Germany will take on Brazil, who were soundly beaten by China (3-0) on Matchday 1.

Laura Siegemund will play Beatriz Haddad Maia, world No.2 Alexander Zverev will take on Thiago Monteiro and the doubles will pit Siegemund / Zverev against Haddad Maia / Matos.

To round off the day (5 p.m. local time, 10 a.m. in France), the USA will take on neighboring Canada in Group A.

Coco Gauff will face Leylah Fernandez, Taylor Fritz will play Félix Auger-Aliassime and the doubles will then pit the same players against each other.
