US Open Finalist Anisimova Delays Start of Asian Tour
Amanda Anisimova concluded the North American tour with a final at the US Open, her first career final and her second consecutive Grand Slam final after Wimbledon.
Defeated by Aryna Sabalenka in New York, the American once again fell to a stronger opponent. Before resuming competition and debuting her new status as world No. 4, Anisimova will observe a period of rest this September.
She has therefore withdrawn from the WTA 500 in Seoul, where she was announced as one of the main seeds. Her return to competition will take place in Beijing (September 24–October 5) alongside the rest of the women's top 10.
