Wins against the top 10: Carlos Alcaraz catches up to Jannik Sinner

By defeating Alex de Minaur (7-6, 6-2) in the group stage of the 2025 ATP Finals, Carlos Alcaraz has drawn level with Jannik Sinner for the number of wins against the top 10 this season.

Indeed, on the center court of the Inalpi Arena in Turin, the 22-year-old player found success again after his disappointment in Nanterre. But that's not all. This victory allows him to tie his main rival on the tour, Jannik Sinner, with 14 wins against the top 10 in 2025, the highest total of the season.

Since the start of the year, Alcaraz and Sinner have been trading blow for blow: epic finals, matched records, and a world leadership that hangs by just a few ATP points.

And as in every tournament, the prospect of a final between the two men is more than just a probability. The only question that remains is what the outcome of the prestigious "Tournament of Champions" will be.
