Rafa is absolute favorite for RG. Remember 2020, when Rafa only played Rome and lost in QF (I think), and everybody thought that Nole is favorite. But Nadal won.

Djokovic planned his clay court swing well. To play here instead of Barcelona was the right move. He has now got good practice to go the masters 1000s and play with matches under his belt.

He is the clear favourite in RG because of the injury to Rafa. Would be interesting to see whether Tsitsipas can keep up his form till RG like he did last year and whether Alcaraz can do something in RG given his lack of experience

How Joker can be favourite on clay ahead of Rafa is mind bobbling Rafa on even one leg is clear favourite to win RG looks like you need to stick to cricket in that part of the world.

@Spain4lyf I clearly mentioned that it is because of the injury to Rafa. Even last year Rafa had an injury and we saw what happened. So I know and understand what I have written.

Rafa has won RG only 4 times in last 7 years, due to various injuries(2016- wrist, 2021: partly due to his ankle issue) and poor form in 2015.

If you see till 2014, it was 9 out of 10 times. So his domination is not as much in RG as it was till 2014. Now with his injury and surrounding uncertainty on how his recovery is going to be, it's all the more in favour of Novak who has no such issues. If Rafa is back to his full fitness and form, no one would call anyone else a RG favourite more than Rafa.
