That look on Thansi's face here sums up this match up.

It’s not a surprise. It’s pathetic and disrespectful to a grand slam though.

He would beat most players on clay.

Why not have two months off then, avoid Barcelona, Monte Carlo, Rome and Madrid and then at least play the French Open out of respect for the game.

Could you imagine him skipping Wimbledon? Of course not.

It’s all down to serve. His serve is redundant on clay so he’s crying off.

He wants to whack it once with no comeback and he can do that at Wimbledon.

I’m English and I think Wimbledon is the most ridiculous tournament. More often than not it’s a serving competition since the eradication of wooden racquets.

It takes a really special ‘tennis’ player to beat a server at Wimbledon. And their names are Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.

Did Fed ever beat Nadal at the FO? Nope, he got hammered every time. Did Nadal somehow find a way at Wimbledon? Yes.

No serve, no Federer, so no clay.

That was hilarious. Federer showed signs of these results with his poor game in indian wells.

He was lucky to survive againist Coric. Thanasi was solid today , he didnt play too agressive and that was a good strategy. Very little unforced errors and steady game plan.

Fed worshippers will start to moan and find a way to make reasons for that defeat. What i disgust about them is this. They never admit a lose etc... Never respect to other players and they never ever in a million year criticise Federer.

Fed s like a GOD to them and he is just a human being and very lucky cos all the other big stars re injured or not in form. But he couldnt use that.

Indian wells and miami showed us today 2018 wont be like 2017. Not front runners nadal & federer. There ll be other stars , new champs. That can be a good year for federers retirement. Too much greed is a big sin. Enough is enough. Let the ppl remember you with your humble attitude not as a greedy man.

The comments are amusing.

Just because people want Federer’s opponent to win, that doesn’t mean that they hate Federer. If that was true then unless everyone wanted Federer to win every single match, then everyone who wants competitive tennis is a hater. It’s ridiculous.

I just thought Federer looked too tired. And why wouldn’t he be? He’s 36.

Nadal has to defend loads of clay points, and we don’t know if he’ll be fit enough to play, so Fed will probably be back to no1 soon. Men’s tennis is weird at the moment.

I think it might be over for Djokovic which will be a terrible shame. He’s played in several of the greatest matches of all time.

What are you on about? Which facts were wrong? I said he has to defend loads of clay points - that’s a fact. He does have points to pick up in Rome but he can’t gain any even if he retains Monte Carlo, Barcelona and Madrid.

Fucking argumentative idiot.

Fed ran up to the net 4x in a row when he really didn't need to... kind of makes it look like it was rehearsed... still cool though

It’s quite clear now that Roger will only play on surfaces where his serve works. It’s disgusting that he’s demeaning a grand slam for the second year running.

Oh boo hoo, my serve doesn’t work on clay so I’m not playing.

It puts more weight to the argument that he’s a server.

Pathetic
