Another potential consecutive first round knock out for Kerber...

Kvitova and nadal for RG!!

mauricec76
Makarova is tough when she serves well. Really hard to get a rhythm against her
6
themoodyfella
Not shocked with the result but disappointing with the scoreline.

vishruth.sgs
She held serve ONCE

eduardoarredondo64
Kerber service don't help against Makarova first round upset highly possible

themoodyfella
Finally something i can agree.Venus winning would be such an amazing story.

themoodyfella
He didn't win it last year. What if he plays Murray in the final..wont you want Murray to beat him

papasung2

COME ON ANGIE do this for papadungballs
3
vishruth.sgs
Yeah Murray definitely more consistent than kerber but both playing equally bad after number one for whatever reason.
3
themoodyfella
Murray peaked last year post RG so thats going to be Interesting to see how he deals with that Pressure.

Vismai K Lakkur
Both worked hard n got into number one.... Can't say kerber was gifted d ranking....

Justin Loch
Serena didn't play after Australian open so she became number 1 playing bad lol

vishruth.sgs
Nobody gets gifted anything in tennis.

Vinayak

Potential upset match 4 sure, kerber tread carefully

Khan Alihasan
Tricky one for kerber for sure.. Kate should bring nothing to loose approach

Vismai K Lakkur
Quite difficult first round for angie

Upset of the day coming up

Wendymancini
I don't think it will be a big upset the way Angie has been playing, we all knew it was a big task for Angie today
2
Wendymancini
Loss of confidence when she got to number 1 do you think? Don't really know. The commentator said she probably would have been better if Serena was still playing and still number 1!

000cassandra
It just goes to show how difficult it is to STAY at the top.
2
vishruth.sgs
Because I remember when nadal lost confidence in 2015, it wasn't his whole game which deteriorated in my opinion. It was his play on certain key points as it is with Djokovic this year as well. But kerbers entire game deteriorated. Not even a shadow of the woman six months ago.

vishruth.sgs
I reckon just taking some time off to contemplate things may help
2
themoodyfella
Ranking will count if she plays well and wins Just like last year. When she is struggling as bad as today it makes you wonder if she is going the Ana Ivanovic path.

vishruth.sgs
I really wish kerber would at least try to give justice to her ranking
