In the comments feed of the Monfils/Krajinovic match, someone had asked if the upcoming Monfils/Auger-Aliasseme match would be the first ATP Tour level final contested by two black male players ever.

So that will have been the first final between two black men, if I'm not mistaken — though Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is bi-racial (both black and white).

Either way, seeing Gael and Felix in the Rotterdam final is very nice, as a black man who loves tennis, it's awesome to witness diverse players winning/contesting for titles. Especially in an ATP 500 tourney!

LyricalLesson, even though I am against any sort of racial segregation I understand what you want to say. It's kinda like supporting your compatriot. I think Gael still has a shot at Grand Slams, I just don't see who of the guys that never won one deserve it more. He's been on the top for a long time and I would be extremely happy if he was the one to break the reign of the big three. As for Felix, I think you can rest assured that he will sooner or later end up as the world number 1. This young man plays more maturely than all of his peers as well as even some slightly older guys.
