I went away to watch some of the match and missed all this thread.

I always try to be respectful about players. I generally find positives in every player. However, I'm only human, and there are players I have not taken to. Naomi is one of these. So is Pliskova and Sofia Kenin. I make no apology for that. I still respect their game and their achievements.

I certainly wouldn't stoop to calling a professional tennis player "trash", and when that player has won back to back Slams, it makes the comment even more crass.

As for Bianca. She's 3.5 years older than Gauff and has won 2 premier events in her breakthrough year. She's had injuries and is playing really well.. I like her game.

I looked at the top half and the only person I could see who is playing what I feel is the game to make the final, Andreescu was the only one. None of us can see the future, so I'm not saying she WILL get that far, but I believe she can.

If that's hype then so be it.

I would love to see Serena make the final and play the best player in the other half, and as I said, I feel that is Bianca.

Now if you want to pounce and attack my points and opinions, feel free. But remember, it's sport, it's meant to be fun. Not just for the players, but for us fans too.

Please ignore typos ?

Well said Andi Soshal. You're not a hater, you're always balanced and respectful. Unlike a few others on here. People get so angry arguing about people they don't even know.

As for the players, they're just kids having a great time, working really hard to win... We should cut them some slack

What a matchup! @Justin anyone can support who they want. That’s one of the big parts of sport

If she could survive a crowd as partisan and intimidating as that of last year's final then crowd effect will be zero tomorrow! On the contrary coco will be under intense pressure let's see how she copes!

What Coco is doing at her 2nd major at 15 is ridiculously amazing!

Anyone who says different knows nothing about tennis!

Yes, I said it.

Not really an Osaka fan, not until just a few minutes ago. Her empathy for Coco is amazing. Class act!

Like I said an hour ago.

This match will help Coco a lot in future.

She has now experienced the level she has to get to in a major

She experienced it against Simona @Wimbledon & now here.

Coco played a good match.

Naomi played a great match

Beauty isn’t a determining factor for winning Slams, but that’s enough of that conversation.

In earlier response to your question Varun, her parents have said that after her Open is over ( she is still in the doubles ) they’ll go back home for a break, and get her caught up on her schooling. Then they’d get back to training. Hope this clarifies it for you!
