C'mon Emma. Show all the doubters.
Tennis In Numbers
With the inconsistency of Emma can't say anything, but I hope she wins
Mr.chess
For once I agree. Starting the new year, everyone wants to see the 2 young players do much better this year. That's Emma and Leylah who were susposed to be rivals by this time but failed because of playing crappy tennis. All the old washed up players are leaving tennis and we need new fresh blood in the WTA this year. I will be rooting for both players.
I just may cancel my work outside and watch tennis today because I know a lot of my faithfull followers are expecting to hear from the most knowledgable person on tennis.
Dr.Tennis.
You got that right, Chess. Glad to see you back from Mexico and I DID receive those tennis books you wrote on how to play better tennis. Emma has to really step things up against this much older player from Austria. She looks pretty scary...it is hard for me to guess so I will await Chess's prediction wich will help me in my decision on the winner of this match.
Mr.chess
My houseboy just handed me the specs and records of both these players so after carefull study, I predict Emma wins match in first 2 sets. Looks like Emma has it in the bag so that will give me time to go back outside and do repairs on the electric fence around my asparagas crops. The hyenas got into them last night and caused almost 200 dollars loss in crops and damage.

The impact of the war on tennis in Ukraine: financial aid, foundations, governing bodies and all‑round headaches
Adrien Guyot 29/11/2025 à 09h08
Since February 2022 and the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, Ukrainian sport has been heavily affected by human, structural and economic losses. Tennis has, of course, not been spared. While Ukrainian athletes have had to rethink their entire organization, an entire country, behind the scenes, has had to adapt and change its training conditions. This extends all the way to the highest level, where professional players have spoken out, trying as best they can to help their nation.
