This girl will be very well known by this time next year [injury permitting], another very good american youngster

It's strange though, she lost to Jasmine P. in US Open Q1 who is a pretty good [117] half Italian/ Ghanaian player.

Then she goes on to beat two players higher ranked than Jasmine in Tatjana Maria [79] & Astra Sharma [94] last round.
So this girl, for a 20 yr old bounces back pretty well.

Let me take this opportunity to thank TT for honoring 2pts in a Usue match where her opponent Jana a decent Slovakian cried mercy ?? 2 games short of defeat [ranked 26 places above Usue] after managing 1 game. ??

..........But I digress

Heart says Heather in 3 ?

Head says Usue Maitane in 2 ?

Good luck Heather ??, this will not be an easy match, as your opponent who's only 20yrs old, has beaten some much higher ranked players to get this far, and she'd definitely consider you a major win to further her career.

I believe this is her first WTA 125 tournament, having had some success on the ITF tour, no doubt someone will tell me if I'm wrong. ??

As I said previously, Usue would not be an easy opponent, obviously she's a very talented young woman & definitely one to watch in the future.

The stats are impressive so far, having taken 3/3 break points in 1st set & going 1set up.?

Heather is going to really up her game now to win the match today.
