this scoreline is only looking close because Sinner is having some serving issues and they reflect in the no. of double faults and serving percentage otherwise this would have been over by now!

That reaction from Jannik says it all. This was a super important match for him. He should have served better but he didn't which is mainly because how well Carlos was returning some of those solid first serves. Jannik stayed mentally really really tough today. So so glad 😊

I WOULD LIKE CARLOS TO WIN, BUT SINNER DOMINATES IN THESE THREE SETS TYPE OF TOURNAMENTS, IF IT WHERE A FIVE SET MATCH I WOULD GO FOR CARLOS. CARLOS HAS BETTER PHYSICAL CONDITION TO ENDURE A LONG MATCH.

Sinner closed in and played well on important points. On the other hand Carlos played terrible shots and made unforced errors in the game. Sinner broke back.and even in that last game. I don't know why he was trying to volley when Sinner was so close to.the base line

Probably because he was feeling the pressure and wasn't feeling comfortable playing longer rallies from the baseline, especially towards the end of the second set.
