Not to mention Monfils is a great player that has a different game than Novak.

Gaël is a well known chocker... Could go either way! Vesely has the H2H advantage too.. Aller Gaël anyways!!

Jon Snowie
This happens to Nadal all the time. Plays people that go out playing best of their career tennis matches and lose next match.

No Ves raped Novak. Outplayed him. Used all his guns and can't do it again.

And weldone Gael. And am glad sooooo happy Nole is out and gone....

Hah, I think his worst match in years has to either be the match against Kazakhstan in the Davis cup, or the match against Simon at the Aus Open.
Yes, Djokovic played below par yesterday, but Vesley still played one of his best matches ever, and it's not fair to take that away from him. As Jon pointed out, a lot of players 'recently' have a tendency to get knocked out the round after upsets against 'top players'. They rise to the occasion when it was needed, however lose momentum very quickly after, with it being a 'not as important' match.

Come on vesely.

Will he interesting to see how he plays, you'd think he'd be drained more, mentally.

Yeap. Versely is still thinking about yesterday. Gael will wake him up from his dreams.

It's clear, yesterday's match was Nole's worst in years and good performance from Vesely.
This match reflects that.
