Never met an Aussie I didn't like. In fact, found everyone of them to be fun loving and peace loving people. And they celebrate just about anything and everything. But that's just my experience. (Plus. They got funny animals down there.)

Go get it Ash. Burn it up and have a party!!!

My Queen did it 🥳🥳🥳💙🏆
So happy for you Ash. Your third Major and the first at home. Fantastic performance. That astonishing comeback from 1-5 in the second to conquer the title was legendary.

Barty Party once again!

Why do so many hate Barty?

Mike?
Collins for the win! Like them both, but Danielle doesn’t have Grand Slam title yet, so cheering up for her!

I only ever saw one interview with Collins, a couple of years ago. She was arrogant and patronising and I've always sort of rooted for her opponents ever since. I'm sure she's lovely and she is a great player.
However, Ash Barty is a darling who is the epitomy of sportsmanship (or "sportspersonship" for the PC police). I personally love Australia and the Australian people I've met (I was in Melbourne for work in 2012). So, I'd be delighted to see Ash Barty, an Aussie, win the title. Just because she's not hammering the ball across the net like Serena or Lindsey, doesn't mean her style of play is less valid or in some way inferior.
Go Ash! Straight sets would be nice!

Barty is probably the best player for covid era
We all know if covid didn't happen and all top players were at their best, she won't have this success

Am I the only one who actually thinks Collins can win this?
Barty is a heck of a player but Collins definitely has the weapons to take it home

This is good stuff. Contrasting styles and personalities. We got hot. We got cool.

Cool calm collected.

(She's going be collecting a big check)

Congrats & well played Ashleigh 🇦🇺👏👏👌, her 1st Grand Slam title on home ground, one of many on home ground.🤔

Collins is probably the only one in the semifalists who can defeat Barty, I would love to see that happen on Saturday

My take: Collins approach won't work on the defence of Barty and it'll be a cake walk

samiruffsankey
Ash for the win in straights with 1 tight, tough set.

Bryan N Judie Eastwood
Please Collins win. I can't stand the thought of an Aussie winning it.

Yeah, hold up Wei, what's to hate about Australians?!? Never met a bad one. Yeah, sure, we all have our fair share of idiots but I've always assumed Ozzies were universally loved

Ash has a fantastic opportunity to dominate WTA circuit age is on her side and if she gets this 3rd major at 25y is pretty decent way to get going towards greatness.
