Should be the final matchup.

Both are so bad this tournament imo, Daniil is so passive, just playing on defense mode, this is the worst version of him to watch. Everytime he lacks confidence he is like that ...

FAA isn't so great too, his serve isn't qualitative and he doesn't finish the points that he should, he makes some easy ones so hard.

Definitely will watch and hope to see them step up, especially Daniil, I want his offensive/fearless mode, same for Felix, I want him to play like he did in AO in this matchup, I actually want them both to play this matchup like they did that day, it should be an insane matchup everytime that they face each other !

The level of this match is disappointing, Felix is an error/DF machine, this is some ostapenko level of OUT and nets atm

Meanwhile, Daniil keeps returning from the crowd, and it works ... Seriously it pisses me off to witness that, Daniil will never step up and adapt if there's no reason to do it.

@julien it is his style, he's a defensive player. Don't think that there are so many players on tour who can return from such deep positions consistently and make it difficult for the opposition

He can be a defensive player in many ways, look at djoko, Deminaur, you can offensively be a defensive player.

When he is confident he doesn't play from so far back

Listen to Gilles cervara interviews, he say it himself, that's the way Daniil wants to play when he feels like it but the truth is that it is, and will never be, his best version.

During his best matches he isn't playing that way.

I love Daniil, but when he is returning like that it makes me sick and mad, it is kind of a waste to me

None of them played well tbh, we'll have to wait longer to see them compete like they did at AO 🤷‍♂️

@julien djokovic is a counter puncher, daniils game is only to grind opponents out while receiving. That's y he's called the 'wall'. He might be low on confidence as he lost a few matches last season from serving for the set. I feel personally that he has it to win a couple more slams(only on hard courts :p)
