Grigor had to face peak rafa... Back to back.

... But very well played

1st set played very tentative but solid. 2nd set Rafa played great until 4-2 in the tb. Gifted the set to him. 3rd set withstood the early onslaught where Dim was absolutely on fire. Then Dim had nothing left. Rafa should be at optimal confidence levels now after this. Only question now is he's played alot of tennis the last 2 weeks. Hope he's got enough in the tank for hopefully 2 more matches.

Dimitrov falls short because of two reasons: He lost the mental battle (as always although he's stronger now). He is not consistent enough. Grigor's highest level can definitely beat Rafa, but Rafa keeps that level ball after ball. Grigor was weak 2-3 in the decider and is punished instantly by Rafa because of that. One weak game was enough. With this said, only one or two (Rafa and Roger) could probably beat Grigor the way he played today. Yet I suspect that doesn't matter a dime for Grigor. I hope he regroups because he can still fight for the ATP finals where he belongs.

Dimitrov is too inconsistent here. Will get crushed by nadal.
