Err... really this is not hard to understand. Rublev is defending champion from 2023. Nadal is defending his 2005 title, as it was the last time he played it..

It's quite possible to have multiple players defending. - remember when Agassi defended his 2001 Aus open title in 2003, to make it 3 from 3?

If Nadal does win it will be another record for biggest gap between titles at one tournament.

@Jeet actually it’s not a title defense. Rublev won it last year so he’s the only one who could’ve defended the title. I’m picking Rafa to win this in 3 sets, it will be dramatic and a Cinderella title for the 38 year old
