We all know that even if med wins he can't win the tournament, as he has already won it once and only wins new tournaments

Interesting fact: The last time there was only one top 8 player in GS semifinal was at USO2017, but there was Del Potro who, if you really consider that, was like a player inside the top 8. Before that it was happening in 2001-2003 more times in a year.
Big 3 started that dominance at GS, and now they probably ended it. The weak era is maybe close :(

Funny though - the fact that this has not been a high quality exhausting slug fest may have actually reduced the energy expenditure and increased the chance of the winner taking the title.

Yep, that little chap called 'Wee Kera' may soon return to the mens side, last seen between 2001 and 2006ish before Nadal, Murray and Djoko joined the Fed show across the surfaces and started near 15 year lockout in big tournaments. It really depends a bit exactly how consistent Sinner and Alcaraz turn out to be in the next few years and what Med or Djoke have left in the tank

For me the women's side has been in a weak era since the 5 years or so we had both Williams sisters winning slams, together with Henin and Clisters - plus also Sharapova.

I think Ash Barry retiring early has blown a hole in the women's side the last 5 years with only really Swiatek consistently delivering .
