I was a little concerned that I thought that I saw Sakkaris coach signalling at her after a point at 5-5 I may have been wrong and he may have just signalled come on but I’m not so sure

I personally think the best drug to use is oxygen... train in high altitudes then perform in low altitudes and you’re suddenly never tired!! Maybe that’s why Fed can keep up with the best players when he’s nearly twice their age... Swiss Alps.

Good play from Zheng but run stops here. I said Sakkari would win the event early on in the tournament a while ago and I still think she will

I've woken up to the great news that Amanda did as I predicted get SAISAI'd

It's not great news coz I wanted Amanda to lose, No!

It's great news as this will prepare Amanda for great success when her time comes & not before, she may think she wants it now [as a Pro to see those dollars rolling in].

They will in time.

She doesn't want to be one of those cautionary tales of too much too young [Sharapova - Yes she's made ridiculous money, but will always be remembered as a 10 yr drug cheat]. We know how that can turn out when greed bites at a young age or unscrupulous advisors take advantage of a young talent & his or her parents.

Not to say it can't or hasn't been done before, Mats Willander, Borg & Chang all did it well very young, on the women's side Tracy Austin, Martina Hingis, Monica Seles & the legend that is Serena also did it well very young!

& I believe this loss will add to & help Amanda to do it well when her time comes & not before

Working harder & better fitness is the key Amanda.

Yes he did signal, your right.

He mouthed the words, "Right here!!!"
With the one finger point to the ground.

Not that she needed it, momentum had switched way before then.

They did some great work, especially the coach changing tactics to try all sorts & Maria for being capable to actually to what he was suggesting.

We all knew the outcome of the match from then on, even svitolina

Kwakspur, it looks like you are letting your hatred get in the way of the facts,. 10 year drug cheat? Wasn't it banned just prior to her test? Using that logic then maybe you should look at some of your favorite players who have received exemptions for drugs that were banned. I am not saying they are cheats, but they have taken drugs within the rules that have actually been banned! To me, that is far worse then the 9.5 years Maria took the drug without breaking any rules.

This will be a tough one, but I think like @samiruffsankey
Saisai's run will end here.

The AMAZING performance Maria put in @ 5-1 down in the 2nd set to come back & beat a future grand slam winner [soon I hope] in Svitolina was THE best I've ever seen her play, especially during the last few games & tiebreak of that 2nd set comeback

Her & her coach are doing some mighty fine work.

Would love her to win this if she can.

Maria FTW!!!

Oh I was right he did signal but I still don’t think it affected the match at all tbh I don’t even know if Sakkari even saw the signal

@lambojim

To put this to bed once & for all

She was taking a drug that is now banned, she took that drug for 10 yrs

Efimova was also banned for taking the same drug & quite a few other Russian athletes also took it.

Are you trying to tell me they all had the same heart problem

Or.....

Were they trying to gain from a drug that improves performamce.

Now, if that drug is now banned, that must mean she was cheating for 10 years.

Yes, it may have been legal, only coz authorities didn't know of its properties.
She was still cheating.

She fortunate she not a track athlete or she would've maybe lost all her majors.

On top of all that, ppl who have a heart condition & need this drug genuinely, are only prescribed it for a few months.

So why else was she taking this drug for 10 years.
There can only be one reason.
lambojim
Kwakspur, was the drug banned the entire time she was taking it, No! So if they ban hi energy bars or caffeine would that make everyone taking it a lifetime cheat? No!
🎾 Mr. Mensa 💜
If you can explain to me why it's banned Now?
.........I'll agree your right.

While you type that answer you'll wonder why you 1st typed a reply 2hours ago.
I don't know either Lambo

Let's hope your nfl team has more luck than you did here

To equate an ENERGY BAR with an DRUG FOR A HEART CONDITION says all I need to know about your Sharapova Deniers
lambojim
Kwakspur, if you want to say "my opinion is she is a 10 year cheat" that is accurate, " she is a cheat" is also accurate, but stating as a fact that she is a "10 year cheat" is an opinion and not factually accurate. The drug was known about for several years before it was banned. And the reason they carry energy bars is to give themselves a drug related added boost. Why else would they take it? And yes, caffeine is a drug.
lambojim
I agree 100%. Since this forum has nothing to do with Maria Sharapova I should say good luck Maria Sakkari! What a match yesterday! Us Spartans need to stick together!. Lol
lambojim
FYI, if anyone is only following on here and not watching, the server has been reversed.
🎾 Mr. Mensa 💜
Anyone taking Lambojim seriously must be on meldonium or eating too many energy bars

Can you just imagine all those kids being arrested for eating energy bars.

Jim wants to ban Coffee & Red Bull as well.

Yep, I think he's had one too many energy bras, I mean bars ?
🎾 Mr. Mensa 💜
Looks like she's done it again.

Maria is about to get SAISAI'd
lambojim
Funny Kwakspur, I don't recall saying anything about it being wrong to take energy bars, nor do I recall seeing Sharapova doing anything illegal and getting arrested for it. Heaven forbid you look at the facts and stop trying to twist them into what you want them to say. As an FYI, I don't smoke, drink, or even drink coffee. I coached high school for over 10 years and do not care for taking anything like that, but bottom line is she did not violate any rules until the drug was banned. Regardless of what you want to pretend to be the case!
🎾 Mr. Mensa 💜
It's a pity you didn't give all the kids you coached meldonium, you could've won every tournament going.

Off topic, strange enough, I don't smoke, drink or ingest coffee either.

Nice chat
Mr lambojim

So you a green Bay fan or just like the cars [not sure you could afford one of those off a coaching salary]
